WQV Screw-in Cross-Connection (or jumpering)
When used together with W-Series terminals, WQV insulated cross-connection jumpers guarantee absolute safety for finger and back-of-hand in accordance with the accident prevention regulation "Electrial systems and equipment" (VGB4). Unique, custom configurations of cross-connections are available by breaking out individual segments of the Weidmuller WQV jumpers.
Assembly of WQV Cross-Connection
- Place the WQV in the cross-connection channel in the middle of the terminal block and afix the screw tightly
- Individual WQV segments can be broken out by bending the individual section or by using the WAW1 tool (P/N 9004500000). It is then possible to bridge individual or several terminals
- The WQV jumpers feature captive fixing screws
Any number of poles can be jumpered
First, remove the fixing screw and screwdriver guide (the insulated part) at one of the outer contact points of one of the WQV jumpers
Insert the Weidmuller WQV jumper without the fixing screw and insulated part. At the same time, insert an unmodified WQV jumper in parallel so that the last pole is overlapped. Complete the connection by afixing the screw tightly.
